The first event of the festival «Minsk meets «Russian Seasons of the XXI century» took place

    On the 19 of August in the House of Moscow a closed event «Russian Seasons evening» supported by belarusian government took place. It was the first event in the festival «Minsk meets «Russian Seasons of the XXI century». Its idea inspirer Andris Liepa represented the project and told about the events which are taking place in Minsk till the 22 of October. At the event a fragment of video version of Liepa’s ballet «Sheherazada» was shown. Among the guests of «Russian Seasons evening» there were main people of the country, cultural figures and business elite. Ambassadors from Great Britain, Russia and Latvia were present.
    The following event of the festival — photo exhibition «Russian Seasons of the XXI century» — will take place in the House of Moscow from the 1 till the 22 of October. On October 22 at the stage of National Theater of Opera and Ballet there will be presented Andris Liepa’s ballet stagings «Sheherazada» and «Firebird». After-party in the House of Moscow with directors and soloists of the project present will finish the festival this day.
    This event’s initiator is the Fund named after Maris Liepa and personally the President of Fund’s government, national artist of Russia Andris Liepa. He renewed «Russian Seasons» created by Sergey Diagilev in the beginning of the XX century. The stagings «Sheherazada» and «Firebird» are having their 100 anniversary this year, that’s why they were chose to show in Belarus.

Julia Zavgorodniaya was included into the list «TOP-50 of the most beautiful and successful people of Minsk»

    Julia Zavgorodniaya, program director of Unistar, was included into the list «TOP-50 Minsk» 2010 — of the most successful and beautiful people of Minsk.
   Getting the diploma from the host’s hands Julia spoke of her favorite work at Unistar with gratitude: «I wish everybody could have such work which brings not only financial satisfaction, but gives an ability to find yourself at this stage and in this list. Because particularly thanks to the favorite radio, radio Unistar, I’m here today. And believe that it is very pleasant! Let you also stay at the best side of life and let more good SOUNDS be HERE!»
   As the general producer of the project Larisa Gribaleva says, «TOP-50» is created to note the most bright, outstanding, extraordinary and important in the society people. Among them there are representatives of variety art, journalists, sportsmen, artists, designers, businessmen — people of those professions which authorize the conception of ‘elite’ in any country of the world.
   The rewarding ceremony «TOP-50 of the most beautiful and successful people of Minsk» pretends to have a secular character, aims at uniting intellectuals and turning attention to important names of the country.
   The premium was presented on the 15 of July in Madison Royal Club. The hosts of the rewarding ceremony were Egor Hrustalyov and the hostess of the evening — Larisa Gribaleva.

RDS is now available in Brest!

Unistar 102, 3 FM in Brest admirers can not only listen to, but also ‘see’ the radio. In the end of June the first and still the only RDS in Brest started working (it is the system of information sharing which allows to broadcast extra information in FM range. On the tableaus of radio sets with RDS function which are tuned in to 102, 3 frequency the slogan “THE BEST MUSIC! GOLD AND NEW ONLY FOR YOU! UNISTAR 102, 3” will appear.

Radio Unistar became the Popov Premium 2010 laureate

On the 12 of June in San-Francisco the 12 festive ceremony of presenting International Professional Popov Premium in the sphere of broadcasting in Russian took place.
49 radio stations from Russia, Belarus and Armenia took part in the competition. 182 works were presented in 14 nominations. As a result of professional jury voting radio Unistar became the Premium laureate in two nominations at once.
Unistar’s information service project «12 Months» appeared to be the best information program, and «The Sound of History» — author’s project of Konstantin Kaverin — became the winner in the nomination «cultural program».

Museum Night: With Picasso and Unistar

Occasion
The International Museum Night held in the National Arts Museum. The opening of the exhibition of Pablo Picasso works stowed away in the funds of the chief national museum was the culmination of the event.
Aim
To position ourselves alongside a significant cultural event in the capital.
Essence
An exclusive excursion around the Picasso works exhibition was organized by Unistar especially for its listeners. Those having won a ticket in the “Office of the Day” quiz show from May 12 till May 16 had a chance to participate. Messages about the Museum Night on May 17 were repeatedly aired in the Unistar newscasts and two live broadcasts were organized from the museum. A transparency with a Unistar logo was hanging in the museum hall on the event day. Besides, the logo was placed on the 3 thousand event tickets. Unistar participation in the international Museum Night Event gathering over 5 thousand people was extensively covered by the press and on the Internet.
 
Promo Event at the Minsk Auto Salon 2008 Fair

Aim
Positioning alongside a significant city event, attracting target audience attention.
Essence
On the first exhibition day when only VIP guests were admitted four promoters wearing T-shirts with a Unistar logo, with branded headphones and boards imitating speed limitation road signs that and saying “99.5 Recommends” pushed large toy trucks around the exhibition premises. In their bodies the trucks were carrying Road Music CDs released especially for the event and meant to be handed out to the Minsk Auto Salon guests. Besides, a huge Unistar transparency was hanging in the exhibition hall and quality Western music interchanged by the Unistar jingle was playing the whole time when the auto salon was held.
 
Event Dedicated to the Second Anniversary of the Commencement of Unistar Broadcasting in Brest (at the 102,3 FM Frequency)

Occasion
The Brest tour of the Gorky National Academic Drama Theater, one of the leading theater groups in the republic.
Aim
Enhancing the process of involving existing and potential listeners residing in Brest and Brest region as well as stimulating decision-maker activity in Brest enterprises that are of interest to Unistar as advertisers.
Event Essence
Envelopes containing an individually numbered congratulatory flyer, information about Unistar, radio station pricelist and two tickets to the Gorky National Academic Drama Theater performance were handed by the radio station representative to the heads of the leading Brest enterprises (including Unistar advertisers and partners). Apart from this, tickets were presented to the winners of the daily interactive quiz held on air especially for Brest and Brest area residents.
Flyers with unique numbers were also distributed at all tour performances (with theater program brochures). Presents were raffled every hour on air at Unistar among 800 people having flyers from 10 a.m. till 20 p.m. on June 14. Ten winners were awarded 2 Gb USB sticks with quality Western music recorded.
 
“Catch within 99 and 5” Flash Game Advertising the New Radio Station Site Launched on October 13, 2008

Aim
Promotion of the new Unistar website on the Internet
Essence
A flash game where the winners are users who managed to score the most points within 99.5 seconds (Unistar frequency) has been designed within promotion campaign of the new website. The game banner was placed at the most actively visited Belarusian Internet portals and shown over 60 000 times. A total of over 15 000 transitions to the game site was registered. There were 20 winners: the first 10 were awarded branded Unistar USB sticks, the rest got umbrellas with Unistar logo as a prize.
The total number of unique website visitors exceeded 40 000 during the period from October 13 to October 20. This means a more than 100-fold growth as compared to the average number of visitors of the old site http://www.unistar.by/.

Talking Collection
(Event for TDM Fashion Clothes Store)

Essence
One of the items from the new collection “talked about itself” on air at Unistar on every event day and the same item “welcomed” the customers on the mannequin standing at the store entrance. A customer having bought three items from the new collection got a present from TDM, such as a scarf, a neckerchief or a piece of jewelry, at her own choice. Besides, a photographer was working in the store and every customer had a chance to have her picture taken in her new outfit (or in the outfit she was wearing when she came to the store) and get her picture right away.
 
Everyone Can Fly
(Event for AirBaltic airways)

Popularizing the system of ticket booking through AirBaltic airways website
Essence
The listeners had to go to AirBaltic website, do a certain task and send an SMS with their answer version to Unistar’s SMS pager number three times a week within the air time of the “Everyone Can Fly” show. The winners, i.e. listeners who were the first to send correct answers, were invited to the after-party that took place on November 3 in Hotel Planeta in Minsk. The first prize, a trip to Latvia, was drawn at the party styled as a “flight” from Minsk to Riga.
